It is formed with two types of threads: the stronger one forms the warp, the thinner twisted yarn - drawn over the good side. The cover employs a cotton sateen with a high thread count 300TC that was treated with double mercerization and calendering to produce a silk-like fabric: delicate, smooth, with a distinctive matted luster.
